Ultimate Fudge Brownies: Rich, Gooey, and Irresistibly Delicious!

Ultimate Fudge Brownies

These ultimate fudge brownies are packed with gooey chocolate chips and crunchy pecans, making them the ultimate treat for chocolate lovers!

This is my Dad’s brownie recipe and they are my go to Fudge Brownie’s. He’s perfected this recipe over the years and did the work for us. Thanks Dad! They are so easy and quick to put together, you’ll never want to make boxed brownies again.

So let’s get into this recipe.

Equipment:

You don’t need a double broiler for this recipe, but if you have one, we’ll use this to melt your chocolate and butter. If not, you can use a sauce pot and glass bowl.

To make a double boiler with a pot and bowl, fill the pot with water and place it on the stove over low to medium-low heat. Set a heatproof bowl on top of the pot, making sure it doesn’t touch the water, and add your ingredients to the bowl for gentle and indirect melting. This will ensure the chocolate wont get over cooked or break on us.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 cup softened butter
  • 1/2 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup chopped pecans (optional)

Chocolate Chips: I used Semi-sweet Chocolate Chips but you can use whatever chocolate is your favorite.

Butter: I always use salted butter. If you’re using unsalted, add an additional teaspoon of salt.

Eggs: Make sure your eggs are room temperature.

Instructions:

  • Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.
  • In a double broiler, melt the chocolate chips and softened butter together. Stir until smooth and well combined. Once fully melted remove from heat. Allow mixture to cool before adding to the rest of your ingredients.
  • In a separate mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, sugar, and vanilla extract until well blended.
  • Slowly pour the melted chocolate and butter mixture into the egg mixture, whisking continuously (make sure your chocolate is not too hot, otherwise you will cook your eggs, and they will start to turn to scrambled eggs. Make sure you give it plenty of time to cool).
  • Add the flour and salt to the mixture, stirring until just combined. Be careful not to overmix, as it can result in dense brownies.
  • Gently fold in the chocolate chips and chopped pecans (if using) distributing them evenly throughout the batter.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish, spreading it out evenly.
Brownie Batter
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 15-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs. The brownies should be set around the edges but still slightly gooey in the center.
  • Once baked, remove from the oven and let the brownies cool completely in the pan before cutting into squares.
  • Serve the delicious Chocolate Chip Pecan Brownies as a delightful dessert on there own, or add vanilla ice cream on top!

The Results:

With their decadent fudgy texture, generous chocolate chips, and delightful crunch of pecans, our Chocolate Chip Pecan Brownies are a chocolate lover’s dream come true. They are perfect for sharing with friends and family, or simply enjoying a moment of pure indulgence by yourself.
